Arrow One Ranch - Deer Hunting and Bowhunting on Maui - Hawaii

An isthmus that forms the island connects these two shield volcanoes. Arrow One Ranch - Deer Hunting and Bowhunting on Maui - Hawaii Maui Deer Hunting Arrow One Ranch is located in Kula, Maui, Hawaii. Axis deer are similar to elk as they scream or call when rutting. Axis deer breed year round, so there are always bucks in hard antler. Deer are plentiful and the herd is selectively hunted to provide a high buck to doe ratio. It's made from two volcanoes, the West Maui Mountains (5,788 feet) and Mount Haleakala (10,023 feet). Jeff and David are not only good bowhunters themselves, but great guys who are a pleasure to be around. Maui is the second largest island in the Hawaiian Islands. Most of our clients are experienced bow hunters, but even inexperienced hunters have had successful hunts. Most of the deer grow antler from December through April. Our deer range on the highest quality forage in the Hawaiian islands and this is reflected in both size and antler growth. The abundant axis deer and mouflan-cross sheep offer plenty of bowhunting thrills in an environment that challenges the best still hunting and stalking skills. The hunting area of the Ranch consists of approximately 1000 acres. The ranch ranges in elevations from 1200-2200 feet above sea level and is in the lee of the volcano, sheltered from the trade winds. The sheep I took on a windy morning with Jeff hangs on the wall of my office as a constant reminder of a great Aloha state hunt. The terrain is challenging with kiawe (mesquite) forest and giant panini cactus cover. We are only 20 minutes from Kahului airport. We hunt from blinds, stands and spot and stalk depending on conditions and hunter ability.
